1. Zugspitze

The Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain at 2962 metres, should be visited in any case if you spend a few days in the beautiful Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In your Coach Charter Germany Tour Bus you will travel from Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the direction of Eibsee and then on to the Zugspitze. Once there you can take the cable car up to the summit. Enjoy the ride up the mountain through forests and fields. At the top you can admire the incredible view from the top of the mountain. On a clear day you can see more than 400 alpine peaks, the range of visibility is up to 250 km.

2. Partnach Gorge

Only three kilometers southeast of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the Partnach Gorge, the wild and romantic Partnachklamm. This scenic and rugged River Partnach gorge is 702 meters long and reaches depths of over 80 metres. Although wonderful to explore at any time of year, winter brings additional beauty in the shape of huge ice formations that cling to the faces of the cliffs. Höllentalklamm is another prominent gorge, just six kilometers south-west of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. A variety of excellent paths lead to and around the summit (1,045 metres), including a route that can be followed up to the end of the gorge through several tunnels and over bridges. Why not visit both gorges together on one day ? Hire your own coach and driver for a day trip to these stunning gorges and flexibly on your own charter bus.

3. Olympiaschanze

Olympiaschanze is a ski-jump hill which hosted the Winter Olympics in 1936. This makes it a area symbol of immense historic significance. A ski jump and museum tour will deepen your awareness of this landmark, and also deliver spectacular views from the top of the jumps. If you're fortunate, you may be able to catch an Olympiaschanze training session or a special plan.

4. Ettal Monastery

No matter whether you are religious or not: You can put the visit of churches and monasteries on your to-do list. Especially if the monastery Ettal is meant. The famous Benedictine Abbey is only about 20 minutes away from Garmisch-Partenkirchen in your Choach Charter Germany charter bus and attracts huge numbers of tourists from all over the world every day.

5. Historical Ludwig Street

The landscape around Garmisch-Partenkirchen is still of inspiring beauty. In the town itself, you should especially have seen the historic Ludwigstraße once. About 2000 years ago, the Roman trade route Via Raetia passed through here, which led from Augsburg to Venice. Small alleyways, colourful houses, funny house sayings and the so-called Lüftlmalerei, thus the facade painting that is typical in this country, characterize the picture. A small tip: between house numbers 4 and 8, the Fugger-Gassl can be reached via a stone staircase, from where you can enjoy a fantastic view of Partenkirchen and the mountains.

6. Eibsee

No filter in the world is needed to edit the Instagram photo of the Eibsee, as the colors of the lake are clear, bright and surprisingly turquoise. The Eibsee below the Zugspitze is the ideal destination for excursions from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Particularly in the summer, because a jump into the ice-cold water is the perfect cooling off after a walk around the lake, on which, by the way, you can also paddle up really well-and with a beautiful view of Germany's highest mountain. Combine a trip to Eibsee with a visit to the Zugspitze, and book your own chartered bus and driver for this excursion.

7. Alpspitze

The Alpspitze, the landmark of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, is considered one of the most beautiful mountain formations of the Northern Limestone Alps. The summit can only be reached via well secured fixed rope routes, surefootedness and a head for heights are necessary. For all non-climbing enthusiasts, a detour to the AlpspiX viewing platform is recommended. About 50 metres above the Osterfelderkopf cable car mountain station, two huge steel arms have been built to hover above a 1000-metre deep abyss, offering a magnificent view of the Höllental.

8. Michael Ende Kurpark

Michael Ende Kurpark (Spa Gardens) is dedicated to the life and work of Michael Ende, the beloved German author of children's fiction. It's a quiet oasis in the heart of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It invites travelers to be one with nature by walking barefoot on pine cones, soft moss and smooth pebbles.Alternatively, relax in a blissful setting, surrounded by 40,000 plants, gorgeous flower beds and lily ponds, with goldfish and butterflies for the company. Children would have fun climbing up the turtle of The Neverending Story and finding their way out of the turf labyrinth. Concerts are held regularly on the grounds of the park during the summer.

9. Staffelsee

The Staffelsee in the north of Garmisch-Partenkirchen can be reached by charter bus in just about in about 25 minutes. The most island-rich lake in the foothills of the Alps is ideal for swimming, splashing and boating on hot days. And all this in front of a great mountain panorama. Just as far away from Garmisch and also in the north near Großweil is the Glentleiten open-air museum. Around 60 historic buildings from rural areas of Upper Bavaria were rebuilt here on an area of around 38 hectares. The largest open-air museum in southern Bavaria provides a comprehensive insight into everyday farming life in historic Upper Bavaria.

10. Mittenwald

The journey by Coach Charter Germany tour bus to Mittenwald, which became famous through violin making, takes a maximum of 25 minutes. To this day Mittenwald is one of the two most important centres of stringed and plucked instrument making in Germany. The old town alone is worth a visit.
